Meet The Ratstreet Gang

Every business has a story, and this one starts with my own mischievous chaos potatoes

The Ratstreet Gang are the heart behind Wee Whiskers Pet Supplies. They inspired me to start this business, help model some products you'll see across the website and social media, and they remind me every day why providing quality products for small pets matters.

I’ve housed pet rats since I was little. As life took me from the Netherlands to Scotland, there was a period when I wasn't able to keep rats. Once I was settled, I knew it was time to welcome them back into my life. In early 2023 we welcomed four boys Khorium, Thorium, Mercury and Radium. They quickly became known as The Ratstreet Boys, filling the house with adorable chaos.

The following year two girls, Lilith and Eve, joined the family. And The Ratstreet Boys naturally became The Ratstreet Gang. Since then, the gang has grown through a number of our own litters, bringing even more chaos into our home. We’ve also opened our home to rats who needed a little extra love.

Sadly, as every rat owner knows, we've also had to say goodbye to some much-loved members of the gang over time. Although they're no longer with us, they'll always be part of The Ratstreet Gang's story and the reason Wee Whiskers Pet Supplies exists today.

Whenever possible, I like to use my own rats in my product photos instead of stock images. They genuinely use many of the toys, hammocks, and accessories I sell, so you can see the products being enjoyed by real pets in a real home. The photos may not always be studio-perfect, but they're authentic and that's exactly what I want Wee Whiskers Pet Supplies to be.
